Representation:

Appearing before Courts and Tribunals -in either civil or criminal proceedings- and in first instance or appellate hearings

Advice on the conduct of proceedings -including the compromise of proceedings -

Charges:

-depend on the instructions given-

for advisory work -this would be on a time basis with a basic rate adjusted for the value involved and the value to the client;

for representative work -this would be a fixed fee for each appearance - fixed depending on the importance of the hearing - trials a fixed fee for the first day and a lesser fixed fee (called a refresher) for subsequent days.
I do not undertake work on a contingency basis.


Limitations on scope of work:

There some services that the professional rules do not allow me to provide, these include:

holding client money or property;

involvement in a client's general affairs;

the actual investigation of a client's case (this does not preclude advising as what evidence would be required to sustain a case).
